February 14, 2013, Kawagoe, Japan - A traditional Japanese kites at the Kawagoe Festival Museum. An old town from Edo Period (1603-1867) is located in Kawagoe, 30 minutes by train from central Tokyo. In the past Kawagoe was an important city for trade and strategic purpose, the shogun installed some of their most important loyal men as lords of Kawagoe Castle. Every year "Kawagoe Festival" is held in the third weekend of October, people pull portable shrine during the parade, later "dashi" floats on the streets nearby.
