World's first EV Taxi Pilot

Global provider of electric vehicle services Better Place introduces the world's first electric taxi using battery that can be switched in Tokyo on April 26, 2010. Taxis are able to switch the depleted batteries at special stations allowing for continuous service without much delay. Nihon Kotsu, Tokyo's largest taxi company, is partner to the project, which was financed by the Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry's Natural Resources and Energy Agency.
