Death by overwork ("karoshi") is not a privilege reserved to Japanese people. 27 foreign "trainees" died in Japan in 2009. Since quasi-all of them were under 40, it is highly probable that a big chunk of this figure died of overwork. In 2008, 34 "foreign trainees" died in the same conditions.
